Overview
Deck-Only Intermodal Equipment
A flat rack is a container platform with no roof and no side walls. That open profile is the point: cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment reach the deck from above or from either flank, so over-gauge and irregular cargo that will not fit inside a traditional container can still move as containerized freight. This unit is a used 20FT flat rack in Cargo Worthy condition, with minor dents or surface rust expected.
The frame is CORTEN anti-corrosive steel, built to meet CSC standards. Units are available in fixed-end or collapsible-end configurations.

How the Structure Behaves Under Load
- The open-access configuration supports loading from all directions.
- Fixed-end walls provide greater rigidity for securing tall or off-center loads.
- Collapsible-end models offer stacking flexibility for return or storage logistics.
- The plywood deck is engineered to withstand uneven loads, tracked equipment, and impact from industrial machinery.
- Corner blocks make the design intermodal-ready for secure stacking, chaining, or tie-down during transport.
Every container is thoroughly inspected for compliance with CSC certification standards, and all tie-down points are validated for safe cargo lashing.
What Ships On It
Heavy machinery and equipment
Suitable for loading engine blocks, industrial compressors, generators, and mining equipment.
Long and overlength cargo
Handles bundles of pipes, steel beams, utility poles, or any cargo that exceeds the width or height of enclosed containers.
Skid-mounted units
A base for transporting mobile pumps, portable generators, and process skids for the chemical or energy sectors.
Vehicle shipping
Takes track-driven, chassis-mounted, or irregular-profile vehicles that will not clear roofed containers.
Agricultural implements
Provides temporary or long-haul staging for irrigation systems, plow assemblies, and oversized components.
Pre-Dispatch Inspection
Each container is checked before dispatch for:
- Weld quality and integrity of the structural frame
- Clearance and reach at the forklift pockets
- Deck surface, assessed against heavy and uneven cargo
- End walls on collapsible units, checked for operation
- Tie-down points confirmed sound and rust-resistant
All units are CSC certified, which makes them suitable for global transport, intermodal systems, or permanent site-based deployment.
